Message from Nurse Anderson
Hello Bolden Family!
My name is Tanisha Anderson and I am your school nurse. Throughout my nursing career I have worked as a mother/baby nurse, served as a nurse manager of a post partum and nursery unit, a nursing administrative coordinator, and a school nurse. I look forward to working with all of you this year and in the years to come.
It is October, the month that begins autumn foliage, fall festivals, and respiratory illnesses. We join the local Health Officers in reminding you of the value of immunizations.
Flu Information: The flu season typically begins in October and lasts through March.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), everyone 6 months and older should get a flu vaccine each season with rare exceptions. https://www.cdc.
COVID-19 Information: As we approach the fall and winter seasons, we may see an increase in COVID cases.
For all Respiratory Illnesses:
- Please monitor for cold, COVID-like, and Flu-like symptoms, and keep children home if they are sick.
We wish you a healthy and happy autumn!
